Nuriel R. Vera-DeGraff
Nuriel is a rising Senior at Harvard College studying Mathematics and Social Studies, an interdisciplinary social science concentration. They have experience managing political campaigns, conducting polling and focus groups, engaging in grassroots and community organizing, and editing opinion journalism.
They served as Director of Organizing for Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s 2024 re-election campaign, working as one of three full-time campaign staffers. At the Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics, they have been actively involved in programs such as the Campaigns and Advocacy Program (which they chaired) and the Harvard Public Opinion Project. Their academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of mathematics and politics, particularly in how statistics and data science can inform campaign strategy and policymaking. Currently, they edit staff editorials for The Harvard Crimson.
